Magritte and his influences by Hayley Curran on 2004-02-09

I believe that the death of Magitte's mothers death influenced his work. He was claimed that his work meant nothing to him. The last thing he saw was his mother's naked body with her head covered by her nightgown. This image like others seems to symolise the same memory so his work does in fact mean alot at least to himself.
