Homesickness- First Impressions by Kayleigh on 2005-11-24
i think this piece symbolises the individual's lack of courage now that he is away from home-hence the title. The figure is pictured facing over some kind of balcony or bridge, his wings folded as though he is scared to fly. The lion-the symbol of courage-lies motionless on the ground. Both figures face in opposite directions to one another-an indication that the man has no courage and that there is no relationship between the two.
