Golconda by Rene Magritte
A very interesting painting by Tyler on 2007-07-24

I like this painting because it shows the uniformity of man by having them all so similar, it also points out the lack of individualism in modern culture. The men aren't really people, just like the painting "The Treachery Of Images" where an image of a pipe has wording below saying "This is not a pipe". It isn't a pipe, it's an image of a pipe, just like these aren't men, they are the image of men. They don't have to follow rules, this IS surrealism. Poetry turned to images. Rene Magritte is so f'n awesome.
