Empire of Lights - A Review by Mário Henrique R. Bernard on 2005-05-21
The first impression we had about the Empire of Lights is the dramatic difference between the clear blue sky and the dim night shades and the pale light reflected in front of the house. I view Empire of Lights as some kind of surrealistic study of different shades of light and a painted poem about the beautiful things we can see when looking at the sky and capturing all the emotional intensity of the light/shadows different possible compositions. The moment I remember most Empire of Lights is at red-sky afternoons. A great work of art, indoubtedly.
